“I aim to provide my clients with bespoke, timeless pieces that add quiet character, richness and tactility to their everyday moments.”

Lindsey Wherrett hand basins are a timeless combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Designed and handmade to quietly enrich your space and evoke a connection to the natural world.

Every piece is made in Tasmania by hand using traditional ceramics techniques which can not be rushed. There are many steps involved in making a ceramic object and timing is paramount to avoid failures and to ensure the quality of the product.

The glaze colours are inspired by the wilderness of Tasmania. Each Lindsey Wherrett basin is completely unique as the glaze wraps itself around the basin in a unique way every time. Hand-firing each basin under a live flame creates infinite opportunities for subtle variation in the forms and surface finish of each piece.
