Luxury retreat meets architectural masterpiece with the Champion Road Project. This dreamy duplex was dreamt up by the talent over at Davina Homes – and is renowned for its timber panelling, open-plan design, high ceilings, and Davina’s signature subtle black details.

The home is synonymous with elegance, and is more reminiscent of an art gallery than a home in many ways. The interior is sleek and timeless, emphasising the spaciousness of each room with an abundance of natural light, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a minimalistic colour palette. Blacks, whites, and greys are coupled gloriously with glass, blonde timber, and stone and marble features. This highly-contrastive space highlights how effective design planning can really accentuate the grandness of a home. Yet equally, it has a family-friendly feel, aided by warm timber tones and plenty of sunlight.

Champion Road is about the theatrics – a well-placed pendant light at the entrance of the house; subtle brass details that one might miss if not paying attention; marble flooring littered throughout the space for dramatic effect – and it hits the mark every single time. The backyard has all the components that make up an idyllic entertainment setting – think a generous outdoor kitchen, an easy-to-maintain turf area, and the perfect sized pool.

Faucet Strommen tapware brings a sense of continuity and unity in the kitchen, laundry, and various bathroom spaces. The soft, organic curves of the Pegasi range in matte black feature in some rooms and create wonderful contrast to Elba and Tundra marble tiling. In others, Faucet Strommen’s aged brass style is used which will tarnish, wear, and oxidise over time to develop a sense of vintage, timeless charm.
