Taking inspiration from mid-century architecture and local South Coast history, the Bunker House features raw, unfinished materials to create a tasteful, timeless aesthetic. Designed by couple Neil and Krystal to resemble a concrete bunker, the Bunker House is an ode to Neil’s love affair with all things concrete. Located in sleepy surf town Gerringong, this spectacular smart-home with architectural views at every angle is perfect for a luxury holiday getaway with friends and family or even a corporate escape.

The Bunker House’s contemporary, luxe look and feel is thanks to the raw, earthy vibe that Neil and Krystal wanted the home to emulate. Natural, quality materials like timber, concrete, and stone are used generously throughout the space for structural and stylistic purposes. The owners envisioned the interior of the house to be at once stripped back and untouched, but still warm and welcoming, and this is done successfully with the subtle use of colour through the space.

To further emphasise the owners’ desire to create ultimate resort-style living is the clever use of Nood Co basins throughout the Bunker House. With seven bedrooms and six ensuites, Nood Co basins complemented the visual palette of each bedroom with vibrant pops of colour while still aligning with the raw material palette of the house.

The peach-hued trough basin vanity set in the master bedroom creates a statement about using colour in nuanced, understated ways. Each guest ensuite features a Nood Co wall hung basin that is economical in terms of space and coupled with a matching mirror to give an air of pared-back sophistication.
