Championing Australian design, contemporary craftsmanship and sustainability, Studio xOx is committed to enhancing bathroom spaces with quality and refined products. The brand recently launched their latest Kingsford showroom, where consumers had the opportunity to explore the range of locally made products firsthand.
The idea of Studio xOx was inspired by tapware,” explains the Studio xOx Brand and Marketing Manager. “Our Founder, Johnathan [Tsoupsis], had discovered Faucet Strommen years ago when searching for Australian made tapware. We decided to keep looking at what else Australia has to offer and found some incredible makers who we have partnered with.”
From Lindsey Wherrett Ceramics to Nood Co to Concrete Collective, Studio xOx showcases a range of local Australian design. Steadfast in their delivery of quality products that elevate interior spaces, Studio xOx similarly focuses on how to thread sustainable business practice within the very fabric of their brand.
Studio xOx’s sustainability ethos is one that does not fold to mass consumer needs.
Studio xOx’s sustainability ethos is one that does not fold to mass consumer needs. “When we started xOx, we were extremely conscious of ‘green-washing’ and ‘green-marketing’,” Anastasia remarks. From this, the brand has been selective in who they work with and offers consumers a service that truly sees value in sustainability. “
A major factor behind working with Australian manufacturers is that we, as the retailer, can see environmental initiatives for ourselves,” she says. “High quality engineering and product design means that there are less product faults and, hence, improves the lifespan of a product, moving away from cheaply made counterparts that often need to be replaced within a few years.”Looking towards the future of the retail industry, the brand continues to implement new methods in how they can contribute to sustainable practices.
“With our own in-store packaging, we have made an active effort to be plastic-free to the best of our ability. This entails using things like hex wrap, biodegradable tissue paper, 100 per cent biodegradable in-store carry bags – which are currently in development – [and] hemp twine instead of plastic tape,” Anastasia explains.
“By only partnering with Australian manufacturers, we ensure that our products have less travel time and produce less carbon emissions than their overseas counterparts. It is our responsibility as a business to work with partners who are supporting Australia’s environment and future in a positive way.”

Providing a selective range of tapwares, handcrafted lighting fixtures and other homeware products, Studio xOx has crafted a uniquely Australian service. At the Kingsford showroom, xOx gives designers, buyers and homeware enthusiasts alike the opportunity to engage with Australian craft. “If every customer walks away feeling inspired about Australian products and understands our ethos of promoting local, then we are doing our jobs,” Anastasia says.
